A Personal Mission

My name is Dawn Finlay. I am the handler of the dog that found our missing girl last week. First let me say thank you for all the supportive comments about Taz. He really is a good dog and deserves the recognition. Secondly, I’d like to add my comments regarding the work we do at the Family Foundation School. In actuality, I have been a full-time algebra teacher at FFS for 5 years. I work very closely with the youth, both in the classroom and out. I can say wholeheartedly that the faculty and staff of FFS are an incredibly dedicated group of professionals, committed to working with teens in crisis. It is true that many of our students are resistant to being at the school and we do have runaways. Several of us at the school are trained in Search and Rescue and we have a detailed response plan in place to deal with these incidents. It is my personal mission to serve God, the school, teens in crisis, and my community with all of my skills, to the best of ability. I believe that is also the mission of every one of my co-workers and the administration of FFS. Regards, Dawn Finlay
