Dear Bruce:
On behalf of my family, I am pleased to express my sincerest congratulations to you on receipt of your most recent honor, Foothills District Scoutmaster of the Year award. Your hard work and dedication to the young men of your unit has distinguished you as an outstanding leader and extraordinary human being.
My wife and I will never forget what you were able to help bring about in our son. His advancement to Eagle Scout was a memorable achievement that will follow him throughout his life. I remember a quote from Will Rogers that someone once shared with me that I believe is befitting of your fine work. He said “A man never stood as tall as when he stooped to help a child.” Stand tall, Bruce, and be proud; you’ve earned it.
