The Feeling of Fellowship

Dear Tom K.,

I am writing this letter to thank you for everything you have done for me in the past two years. You have given me the opportunity and privilege to be a part of Peter Pan, Show Choir, and Fiddler. These experiences really helped me find out who I was, and made it possible for me to use my talents in a healthy manner. You night not know this, but I was involved in musicals when I was at home, but I never put my full effort due to my drug use and lack of care. I would always fantasize about being like the other kids who were really devoted to singing and acting, but would sell myself short and get high to cloud my frustration. Here at this school you have made it possible for me to experience musicals as part of the group, and not all for myself. The feeling of fellowship that I experienced in your ensembles was incredible, and I will never forget the feelings and friends I made in these experiences.

Show Choir for me was a huge turning point in my life. Within the dark fog that clouded my mind, Show Choir spread light on what was really possible if I put everything I had into something. I also got to know you a lot better, and I saw through you what a true catholic man is. I want you to know that I respect you a lot and look up to you for your conviction and devotion to what you do, and the fact that you affect so many people’s lives is beyond me. Thank you so much for making it possible for me to be involved in these experiences. I will definitely be staying in touch, and I will be sure to come back for Grease in September. Thanks again man. Show Choir #1. Peace and Love.

D.
