Finally Surrendered

Dear Woody,

Grace to you & peace from God our Father & the Lord Jesus Christ! I pray you are well & in good spirits when this letter reaches you. I am writing for two reasons. First, and most importantly, I would like to say I apologize for all of the problems I put you through. I was extremely selfish, & to put it straight forward, I just didn’t want to grow up! I knew it all, and nobody could or was going to tell me what to do. Well, I’ve learned my lesson finally! I am now in the process of surrendering my will and my life to God’s will, and not mine. I must thank you for all of the time you invested in helping me. You need to know that it was not in vain. Although it didn’t seem like I was taking in anything, I surely was. I forever retained the teachings of the Family School and its staff, and now, today, that I have surrendered, I can put to good use what I learned so as to become a better person every day. The tools I was given at the Family School are priceless and they have saved my life, and I will continue to do so! So, first of all, thank you very much for all of the help that you gave me. Also, once again I apologize for all that I put you through. Will you please forgive me?

The other reason I am writing is because I always looked up to you and you were my favorite staff member and I’d like to establish a regular correspondence with you if you are interested. I already have a regular correspondence with Fr. Stephen, Jan Cheripko, and one of the students currently there at this time (Lee D.). It is my hope in the long run to return to the Family School as a permanent staff member so I can share my experience, strength, and hope with the kids, so that they don’t end up traveling the same path I took. I have already proposed this idea to Fr. Stephen and he says when the time comes he will be happy to speak to Mike Argiros and advocate for me!  Thank you very much. Well, I’ll let you go for now. Please write back soon. God bless!

Sincerely,

Ryan B.
