I Wish I could Do That

Tom,

Over the past couple of years at the school, you have made my load significantly lighter. All of the opportunities which you have given me to perform and assist the performers melded my passion into what it is today. Starting off in the pit, and on stage crew, I remember watching the performances and thinking to myself “I wish I could do that”. It was a dream than. Little did I know that I would be starring in Footloose two years later. My dream would come true. Throughout Footloose, I learned more about myself than in the several months past, not to mention the physical and mental endurance it took to fill the shoes of the role. But you never gave up on me. You told me that I was doing a great job, when I honestly felt like it might be too hard, and the part wasn’t for me. Even after I lied to you, for the thousandth time, you gave me another shot. I am grateful for all of these things.

Hopefully, one day, I will be able to invite you to one of my performance. I also hope that I can enjoy a marriage which is a strong as yours.

Thanks for everything,

N. W.
