A Better, More Well-Rounded Person

Dear Tom,

I’m getting ready to graduate, (imagine that? Me graduating), and I wanted to take a second to let you know that I’m really grateful for how much you’ve helped me along the way. One topic sticks out in particular. I was going through a really tough time a while ago, and you started letting me know just what you thought (which happened to be the truth) and I remember thinking, “when is this son of a bitch going to shut up and leave me alone?”

Haha, well, since then, I’ve started listening to what it is you had to say, and I realized that what it is that you were saying really helped me out a lot, once I was willing to take a look at it. So thank you for always bringing me the truth.

On top of that, Show Choir, chorus, and Footloose were three of my most favorite experiences here at FFS. I never would have done those things back home, but I went out on a ledge here (after being pushed by Rita off that ledge) and I really loved it. They really helped me out a lot to become a better, more well-rounded person. And I am eternally grateful for those things happening. Thank you Tom, thank you so much for everything. I will definitely be calling back to see how things are going for you and the school. (And visiting too.)

Sincerely,

Dan F.
